Gateway 2 is a hive of activity this spring. In amongst the snow, hail, sun, snow and hail, we are playing with the herd and filming tutorials for the new site. http://www.naturalhorsefriendship.com will open May 1st. Check out our tour page to see samples of tutorials, meditation audio/videos, pictures and samples of what the site offers. Our experts will be on hand for teleseminars and to help members with questions on the forum.
We staged our first radio show the other day to test the system and had a lot of fun. (It actually was easier than I imagined) May 15th will be our first live chat with Carolyn Resnick and Karen Murdock and Lukas (the World’s Smartest Horse) Karen has given us some interesting tutorials on trick training. Her site is www.playingwithlukas.com and Karen who believes in the same principles as the NHF site, will be a NHF expert along with Carolyn, Margrit Coates, and Karen Sussman of ISPMB (the International Society for Protection of Mustangs and Burros) We are going to have some great advice, forums and teleseminars.
 Only one month until the Special Horse Conscious Retreat with Mark Mottershead and we have room for two more attendees. Rebecca Gillham (who is apprenticing with us for May/June) will be our trainer, along with Liz, for this retreat. She is a Parelli instructor as well as a specialist in colt starting. Also Carol Doyle, our apprentice from Ireland, is enjoying the stimulating weather and employing the NHF method of invitation and reward with the Herd. Carol will be in some of the tutorials practicing her liberty riding and showing off her new found relationships. I’ve asked Carol to reflect on her experience so far and this is what she had to say;
From Carol Doyle:
 "I have been here with Liz and The Herd for almost one month now. At first I found the change of paradigm from horse as “partner” to the horse as “friend” – there is a large difference – challenging and not a little confusing. When I found Natural Horsemanship 5 years ago I felt like a beginner again learning everything from scratch, and now I realize that I know even less! The horses are kind and gentle teachers and even I am amazed at the tutorials we shot as I canter Luxy across the paddock with only a neck-rope. In this short time so much has changed."
The Margrit Coates Retreat is packed but there is still room in the Madelaine Walker Program who offers an exiting perspective to Animal Communication and Healing. We also have a new retreat with Loesje Jacob, Body Talk instructor, back from 2 years of teaching around the world. Loesje is offering a special Body Talk Access for Animals and Humans retreat in August (link) which is filling quickly so pass this on if you know any Body Talk people looking for this hard to find course. Also don’t forget the Paul Dufresne clinic with free layover days before or after. Some of our Margrit Coates people are coming early for it and it works with the Madelaine Walker retreat as well.
From the Horses:
 "We are increasingly exited about the world interest in viewing horses in a new light. As consciousness expands to include more species, human mass mind consciousness changes as well. If you examine higher mind or universal consciousness as a composite of each and every created thing, experiencing the physical plane, receiving and sending feedback to the ALL, then you can appreciate the importance of connecting to as much information as possible. Animals, plants, minerals, from all created realms, have a purpose to fulfill in the larger picture, and when one can transcend the outline of self to explore that movie of life, an awakening and expansion occurs that enlightens not only individual consciousness, but the consciousness of each group ie. Horse, whale, human, tree, and the one consciousness that is higher mind as well. We have shared this higher vibration on the Journey to Enlightenment DVD (link to Tour page video) and continue to share new messages of truth throughout the world. We are all one in this journey toward the light, whether we have two legs or four, or none at all does not alter our essence, purpose or connection to one consciousness. Animals and nature have a clear connection to share with all who are guided to experience this new understanding. The shift is happening exponentially with each new mind".
* We have had enquiries into partial scholarships from those who feel called to the retreats but are financially unable. If you would like to fill out an application form for the retreat of your choice, and your story, we will review and consider what might work for you.
