 It
has been a long cold spring on Gateway 2 Ranch (and everywhere
else as well). Chaos broke when Epona, 1 month from her due
date, was diagnosed with an abscessed lung and pneumonia. We
rushed her to Vancouver and were told that the chances of her
survival were slim and the baby would best be aborted to enable
her to breathe more easily.
In a state of shock I rallied
a group of friends and healers who would, for the next few weeks,
help keep my resolve firm in the face of doctors telling me
that 8 - 12 weeks was the usual time needed to treat this grave
illness and I couldn't even consider taking her home to have
the baby as it would not survive.
Well, we of the power of positive
thinking won and 2 weeks after her trip to town, Epona was home
and delivering her baby 3 days later (he was over 2 weeks premature).
As you can see from the pictures they are both well and happy!
The "secret" being to concentrate on what you want
and not on what you don't want.
My friend Loesje who helped considerably with the healing (and
is soon to be the star of a television series entitled "Into
the Mystic") explained that the birthing by Epona of Paschar
was mirroring the difficult and complicated birth of the book
and as expected, they both cleared and were birthed the same
week.
When I heard that the book had finally arrived I knew Epona
and her baby would be fine. Paschar is named after the angel
of vision who guards the veil between our world and the heavens,
between consciousness and unconsciousness and between awareness
and illusion. "It is only with the heart that one can see
rightly; what is essential is invisible to the naked eye."

Having dealt illusion a strong
blow we went on past clear vision to deal with "Divine
plan" and named Magic's baby, who was born a week later,
Micah (pronounced Meek-a) the angel of Divine Plan who watches
over spiritual evolution, seeking every opportunity to reveal
God's Divine Plan and the next steps of our Life purpose. My
life purpose as of late seems to be birthing books as I now
have book 2 "The Truth According to Horses" press
ready and am now onto bringing book 3 "Unbridled: What
Animals Teach us about Spiritual Freedom" to the same stage.
I will however need to sell a few more copies of "One with
the Herd" before they go past that point.
I am very excited about the
reviews and interest in Herd. We've had some great press and
there is a growing list of radio and television shows scheduled.
Lisa Ross-Williams, host of the "If your Horse could talk
show" and senior editor of "Equine Wellness Magazine"
wants to schedule an interview. Her comments were that "One
with the Herd" was "…one of the best horse books
I have ever read"!
July 27th, 28th & 29th P.A.A.L.H.
(Pacific Association of the Andalusian and Lusitano Horse) will
be having their annual show at Heritage Park in Chilliwack B.C.
